The first two years of the Montessori Early Childhood program prepare children developmentally and socially for their third year. The path has been paved for further advanced work by two years of practice with the concrete Montessori materials. Children are now ready for abstraction. In addition, the final year serves as a leadership year for the Kindergarten children, offering mentorship and guidance to their younger peers in the classroom.
